Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Evaluation - $2,250 Total
1st Appointment Intake Interview
At the Intake (60-90 minutes), Dr. Khalil will interview the caregiver(s) and the identified patient and determine if further autism testing is needed or can be ruled out. This can be done virtually if needed.
If autism is ruled out, no further testing is needed, and a flat rate of $300 is due; no more is charged, and no further appointments occur.
2nd Appointment Testing—Dr. Khalil will have an informant, typically a caregiver, fill out rating forms. The patient will be tested with Dr. Khalil using autism-specific measures and cognitive testing. This must be in person for children younger than 36 months.
3rd Final Appointment- Feedback (45-60 minutes)
Dr. Khalil will take about 4 weeks to score the measures and write a report including recommendations, test results, and a summary for future records. Dr. Khalil will review results, diagnoses, and answer questions with the family. Dr. Khalil will provide at home and school recommendations that may be helpful based on testing results. This can also be done virtually if needed.
ADHD Testing- $1,250 Total
Testing follows a 3-appointment format similar to autism testing (e.g., interview, testing, and feedback). However, a $500 increase will be applied to add cognitive testing if cognitive testing is warranted for children about age 4 and older. If autism testing is needed, the total cost will be $2,250. Before making any testing changes, Dr. Khalil will consult with the patient and their caregivers.
Cognitive/Intellectual Disability Testing $1,750 Total
Testing follows a 3-appointment format similar to autism testing (e.g., interview, testing, and feedback). Testing includes cognitive testing for children about 3-4 years old, depending on their presentation. However, if autism testing is needed, the total cost will be $2,250. Before making any testing changes, Dr. Khalil will consult with the patient and their caregivers.

If you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement for psychological testing services. Here’s how the process works:
1. Pay for Services Upfront
You’ll pay the full testing fee directly to our practice at the time of service. We do not bill insurance directly but can provide the documentation needed for reimbursement.
2. Receive a Superbill
After services are completed, you’ll receive a detailed superbill—an itemized receipt that includes all necessary information required by insurance, such as:
Provider name, credentials, and NPI number
Diagnosis code(s) (if applicable)
CPT codes for each service
Dates of service and session fees
3. Submit the Superbill to Your Insurance
You can submit the superbill through your insurance provider’s online portal, by mail, or by fax—depending on their process. We recommend calling your insurance company first to ask:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for psychological testing?
What percentage of the cost is reimbursed?
Do I need a referral or prior authorization?
Where and how do I submit a superbill?
4. Receive Reimbursement
If your plan covers out-of-network testing, your insurance company will reimburse you directly for a portion of the costs based on their policies.
